My name is Hidde Derks, I'm a Technical Game Designer with a strong interest in Tools Programming and Build Engineering. Proficient at Programming & Scripting.
I've been hobbying around with things like Unreal Engine and Blender since 2016. Around 2019 it started becoming more serious, when I got accepted to the Creative Media and Game Technologies (formerly known as IGAD) course at Breda University of Applied Sciences.
I'm a very technically inclined developer that enjoys creating and working out systems. Whether that be gameplay mechanics, creating frameworks for easier iteration or creating other tools for fellow developers to utilize.
Besides that I've also got experience in more supportive tasks, such as helping fellow developers solve issues they're running into (Source Control, Engine, Bugs, other software issues or hardware issues).
Or more project-wide items such as adding compatibility for different target platforms, optimizing the game's performance or setting up CI/CD pipelines.
